Craig Griffith is now a page on Facebook! Be sure to get on there and like him! I will be posting all the things on the acting scene that I will be doing, as well as pictures and videos of past productions. It'll be great, and you won't regret choosing to like me.
This week was mostly boring, just going to college, coming home, and doing homework. Several exciting things did happen, though. I started rehearsal for my new upcoming play, Neil Simon's "The Star-Spangled" girl, in which I will be playing Andy, a young man working on a protest magazine in his apartment with his friend Norman. Soon, the two are involved in complicated love relationships when a pretty young Olympic swimmer moves in next door and threatens their magazine and friendship. One performance on Friday, August 12, 2011! Don't miss it! (Details about location to come at a later time. Thank you.)
I had to do two speeches in Public Speaking this week. One was a master of ceremonies speech, in which I had to introduce someone. I introduced Stephen Colbert. I only lost one point on it, and that was because the teacher "wants me to improve." My other speech was a comedic speech, which I did on "If Public Speaking Class Was a Musical." It included songs such as "Why Did I Take This Class?", "Not Another One," "Where To Put Each Hand," "Freedom," and "My Name Is... Um..." I got the whole class laughing with that one. Winner!
In Intro to Business we are doing a stock market investing project. The essay portion was a huge pain, but the actual hypothetical investing is actually quite exciting and fun! My group (aptly named "The Indecisive") invested in Exxon Mobil, Amazon, Disney (that was my suggestion), and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. My stock so far is second best next to Amazon, and we have earned nearly foour thousand dollars! (Hypothetically, off of and original one hundred thousand.) Woohoo!
In intro to theater we are writing and performing plays. My group's play takes place in the woods on a camping trip with two boys and two girls. The boys brought a tent, and the girls thought the boys were going to take care of everything. The tent is two-man, so the two fight over who gets it. The men win out, but the girls scare them out and take it, only to find an unexpected and unpleasant surprise inside, and it slithers... I'll try to get it filmed so I can post it. (It won't be for a couple weeks)
So, that's what's new in CRAIG WORLD!
Awesome! I'll Comment on your blog if you comment on mine :P I like you speech ideas! Way better than the ones I did. I remember doing my peruasive speech on not giving alcohol to minors, some great research and stats, but I don't think it made me too popular with the other students... odd... Good idea to "invest" in Disney, they will own the world someday...
