I got a new suit. It's black and pretty.
Nothing to new this week. I gave a speech in Public Speaking on No Child Left Behind. I aced it! Most of college was pretty dull this week. We've been rehearsing for our student plays in theater. That's about it.
I'm planning on auditioning for the New Student Talent Show when I go up to BYU-Idaho. It's going to be great! I'm going to sing a song from Shrek The Musical called "When Words Fail." It's very funny but also very touching. I hope I get into the show.
My new suit cost very little money due to there being a huge sale at JC Penny's.
Brent's back in Albuquerque, which is good. We are going to earn some money together on eBay. Hopefully I will earn enough money to pay for my books next semester.
I wore the new suit today to church. It was comfortable. I wish I could post a picture of me in the suit, but alas, I cannot for no such picture was taken. So... yeah.

Dull Week.
Nothing Exciting happened this week. Literally. I went to school, I came back from school, I did nothing at all. Thank you and have a good night.
Cardassian Keldon-class starships
Me sledding on the stairs next to the La Cueva High School baseball field with some friends when we had the big freeze during the winter of 2010-2011 that closed school down for an entire week. Ah, good times.
Have a great week everyone! I'm watching the final Harry Potter movie tomorrow, I hope that it's as good as everyone says...

Theater History
Nothing too new. Just sort of went on with life, college and stuff. So... let's take a look at my theater history!
2007
My first year at La Cueva High School, and it's drama department. Under the direction and instruction of Ms. Hall, theater has made my life much better then it was before.

2008
This was the year I did my first play, Thornton Wilder's Our Town. I played the town paperboy, Joe Crowell, Jr., and had nine lines. I prided myself in being part of the first two-person scene in the play, having a conversation with Doctor Gibbs, played by CJ Ferrell. It was a great first experience for the theater.
That same semester I was the farmer in Storytime Under the Big Top, which was a kid's play. I only had three lines, but it was experience.
Later that year I had the opportunity to play a tap dancer growing an extra foot in the hilarious play Airline by Tim Kelly. Other characters included a failing young producer, an ex-military head flight steward, and Mighty Man!
I also teched for Night of the Living Videos, which is a series of music videos onstage, directed and produced by students.
2009
This year I had my first directing job and my first assistant directing job. I was assistant director for The Odd Couple, both male and female versions, which was a lot of fun, despite certain difficulties that were had between certain people.
Me with some of the cast and crew of the Odd Couple!
I was also director for The Elevator, a student written play performed in my Drama 2 class. It was interesting, to say the least. I also played the contractor in that play.
The beginning of next year, I was assistant director for a second time, for Little Women. That was very fun as well.
Cast and Crew of Little Women! (I'm to the right, somewhere...)
I also participated in NOLV that year, acting as an Angel of Cool, Fox, Cop, and Priest to various songs.
Me in various roles in NOLV!
2010
This is when my acting career really gets rolling. First, I get the part of Luther Billis in Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific, a musical that takes place during WWII in the South Pacific. I play a seabee who is very apt at getting in and out of trouble, and rips people off with scams. I sang a couple of group songs in it, as well as singing some solo lines and a reprise of "Bali'Hai." I got to dance around in a coconut bra and grass skirt as well!
Singing "Bali'hai"
Dancing to "Honey Bun"
Building up to "There is Nothing Like a Dame," which is after "Bloody Mary"
Those were good times. Later that same semester, I played characters in two hilarious plays - a pregnant alien in Twitch and a janitor and psychiatrist in Shrunken Heads. (Both the doctor and the janitor were different characters.)
After the summer, the school put on Bel Kaufman's Up the Down Staircase, in which I played the flirty teacher, Paul Barringer. I flirted with the main character and at one point had to handle a love letter from a student. How would you have handled it? Paul Barringer corrected it!
Flirting with Sylvia Barrett
Grading Alice Blake's love letter.
NOLV that year was exciting, and included me playing Professor Oak, a time traveler, a doctor, a monster, and a soldier's father.
Time Traveler
Soldier's Father
2011
First... I directed a Drama one show - C.S. Lewis' The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It was pretty good for a bunch of Drama One kids. I also had fun in the advanced show, in which I played Voldemort (Potter Puppet Pals), Callihan ("Gay or European" from Legally Blonde, The Musical), Benvolio (The Least Offensive Play in the Whole Darn World), and an extra in a couple of other scenes.
Then... the accumulation of all of my awesomeness into one show, one part... Sir Toby Belch in William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. I danced, I sang, I cried, I yelled, I fenced, I faked almost barfing, I did almost anything you could imagine.
This is just an awesome picture.
Kat Liptak as Viola and Vital Mazor as Fabian.
"Defy the devil!"
Richelle King as Maria and Dylan Holmes as Malvolio.
Dancing!
James DeAguero as Sir Andrew Aguecheek.
Drunk!
Anaubrey Shannon as Olivia and Jessica Barfield as Feste.
Fencing!
Dillon Romero as Antonio.
Another cool pic!
Actors already introduced.
The Future...
I'm planning on participating in plays at BYU-Idaho.
Thank you for reading!

Facebook Page and Other Stuff
Craig Griffith is now a page on Facebook! Be sure to get on there and like him! I will be posting all the things on the acting scene that I will be doing, as well as pictures and videos of past productions. It'll be great, and you won't regret choosing to like me.
This week was mostly boring, just going to college, coming home, and doing homework. Several exciting things did happen, though. I started rehearsal for my new upcoming play, Neil Simon's "The Star-Spangled" girl, in which I will be playing Andy, a young man working on a protest magazine in his apartment with his friend Norman. Soon, the two are involved in complicated love relationships when a pretty young Olympic swimmer moves in next door and threatens their magazine and friendship. One performance on Friday, August 12, 2011! Don't miss it! (Details about location to come at a later time. Thank you.)
I had to do two speeches in Public Speaking this week. One was a master of ceremonies speech, in which I had to introduce someone. I introduced Stephen Colbert. I only lost one point on it, and that was because the teacher "wants me to improve." My other speech was a comedic speech, which I did on "If Public Speaking Class Was a Musical." It included songs such as "Why Did I Take This Class?", "Not Another One," "Where To Put Each Hand," "Freedom," and "My Name Is... Um..." I got the whole class laughing with that one. Winner!
In Intro to Business we are doing a stock market investing project. The essay portion was a huge pain, but the actual hypothetical investing is actually quite exciting and fun! My group (aptly named "The Indecisive") invested in Exxon Mobil, Amazon, Disney (that was my suggestion), and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. My stock so far is second best next to Amazon, and we have earned nearly foour thousand dollars! (Hypothetically, off of and original one hundred thousand.) Woohoo!
In intro to theater we are writing and performing plays. My group's play takes place in the woods on a camping trip with two boys and two girls. The boys brought a tent, and the girls thought the boys were going to take care of everything. The tent is two-man, so the two fight over who gets it. The men win out, but the girls scare them out and take it, only to find an unexpected and unpleasant surprise inside, and it slithers... I'll try to get it filmed so I can post it. (It won't be for a couple weeks)
So, that's what's new in CRAIG WORLD!
